About TALWe are an established training body providing professional instruction by DSA registered Driving Instructors, to a wide variety of transport companies, agencies and individuals throughout our region. Our aim is to provide “value for money training” and to use vehicles, which are compatible with what is generally used on the roads today. Getting you started: This information booklet is a step-by-step guide to getting you your B+E licence at a pace, which is right for you; it is also designed to answer all your questions. Who does it apply to?If you passed your test on or after the 1st Jan 1997 and you want to tow a caravan or certain trailers, you may have to take a specific practical test. The vehicle:Throughout the course you will drive a Citroen Belingo Van with a twin axle trailer. If you wish to use your own vehicle/trailer please ensure it meets the requirements for the driving test (www.direct.gov.uk/drivingtest) or give us a call for advice and the cost of the training. What happens next?Option 1: Call TAL Training & book an assessment drive, the assessment will define the length of course required. We will then book the course and the practical test. 1 hour B+E Assessment: £28.00 + VAT @ 20% = £33.60. Option 2: Call TAL Training & book a 12 hour course inclusive DSA practical test. 12 hours B+E training @ £28.00 = £336.00 + VAT @ 20% = £403.20. DSA Practical Test @ £115.00. Total: £518.20. If you choose to go ahead with the training all you need to do is contact us to arrange a suitable start date. 0114 2813022 / 07919 884432 Driving Licence:To book a course & take the DSA practical test you will need to be possession of both parts of the new photo card driving licence or for old driving licence holders you would also need to produce an in date passport. The driving tuition:The success of our training is based on individual attention at all times; tuition is carried out on a one-to-one basis by a qualified / professional instructor. Our instructors have a great deal of experience in the field of driver training. They will observe every aspect of your driving technique, correcting faults where necessary. We have our own dedicated manoeuvring area, so that you can practice in safety the reverse and couple & uncouple exercises. Tuition is normally carried out in 4 sessions (E.g. 8 am to 12pm or 12:30 to 16:30. We recommend that tuition is taken as a ‘block’ course e.g. Monday to Wednesday, but if this is not possible, we can tailor the lessons to suit you. How much is the tuition going to cost me?Price will vary according to driving ability, but the average 12 hour course inclusive VAT and the DSA Test is £518.20. COURSE FEES
Weekday Re-Test Fee “2 hours LGV Training / DSA Practical Test” Cat B+E: 4 x £28.00 = £112.00 + VAT @ 20% = £134.40 + LGV Test @ £115.00 = £249.40. The DSA Test fee for a Saturday is £141.00; therefore add £26.00. Where do I go from here? “One phone call is all it takes to get started”PAYMENT TERMS AND CONDITIONSPlease note that all course and training fees must be paid for in advance. 1. Starter packs must be paid for on the day of going for the medical or before, by cash or cheque. 2. To confirm the course booking we ask for £200.00, which must be received 7 days before the course begins. 3. All course fees must be paid on the First day of the course by cash or seven working days prior to course commencement by cheque. 4. Any re-test/training fees must be paid for in advance. 5. In the event of a lesson or test being aborted due to mechanical failure, then customers will only be charged for the tuition received. 6. TAL Training reserves the right to re-arrange lessons/tests in the event of unforeseen circumstances (e.g. adverse weather conditions, sickness, cancellations by the DSA, etc.) 7. In the event of non-attendance, TAL Training reserve the right to charge customers for the tuition / test booked. TAL Training requires 3 clear working days notice to cancel a course/test; failure to comply will result in a full charge. 8. If customers arrive late for a lesson, TAL Training reserve the right to finish at the scheduled time and charge in full for the time booked. Price list as at: 04 Jan 2011
